Jerez Airport is located in the city limits of Jerez de la Frontera, in the province of Cadiz and lies around 6 km to the northeast of Jerez city centre. Jerez Airport is the main airport for the Costa de la Luz and is well linked to Algeciras and Gibraltar via the A-381 motorway which merges into the A-7 motorway along the Costa del Sol. The airport is quite small and consists of 2 floors.
Flights to Jerez from the UK are available from London Stansted and Flights to Jerez from within Spain are available from Barcelona, Madrid and Palma de Mallorca. Arrivals at Jerez airport is located on the ground floor and the baggage reclaim area contains 3 luggage belts. Once you have collected your luggage and entered into the arrivals hall you will find 2 tourist information desks, lost luggage information desks and the car hire desks which include Auriga Crown, Avis, Europcar, Goldcar, Hertz and National Atesa. plane information
Immediately outside the terminal building is where you will find the taxi ranks and bus stops. A taxi from Jerez Airport into the City centre will cost approximately 12 euros and a taxi to Cadiz will cost about 50 euros. There are a number of other ways to get to and from Jerez Airport such as hiring a car or catching one of the new airport buses that have just started operating at Jerez Airport.
The Bahía de Cadiz Transport Consortium has recently added additional buses to connect the cities of Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Jerez with the airport. The service to the city centre departs from Jerez Airport at 06.30 and the last bus leaves at 22.30. In the near future and as passenger numbers increases at the airport, the local bus companies should hopefully be introducing a service up to the Costa del Sol and down to Tarifa. Whilst there are no trains at Jerez Airport there are local trains in Jerez and for the area of Cadiz.
If you are picking someone up at Jerez Airport or if you are flying out from Jerez Airport and need to park your car there you can use either the P1 or the P2 car parks that offer around 1000 parking spaces. Hourly rates are just under 1.00 euro with a daily maximum of 10.75 euros for the first 4 days and then 8.60 euros everyday thereafter.
Departures from Jerez Airport are also handled on the ground floor and consists of 13 check in desks with 2 automatic check in machines for Iberia and Spanair. Several tour operator desks are also located here as well as a selection of shops and an airport information desk.
Help points for passengers with reduced mobility are located both on the outside and inside of the terminal building. Once you have gone through the security control checkpoint you will enter the departures lounge where you can grab a bite to eat in the restaurant or do a bit of last minute duty-free shopping. You will then need to board the aircraft from here via one of the 5 gates.
